Hilarious: You won’t believe what PETA wants to do with notorious cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer’s home

The childhood home of serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer, which is the place where he made his first killing, is up for sale, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, wants to turn it into a vegan restaurant. I’m not kidding.

PETA wants “to turn cruelty on its ugly head,” according to its blog, and saw “an opportunity to create good out of evil.” Dahmer, who was eventually convicted of 16 murders and sentenced to life, murdered his first victim, Steven Hicks, shortly after his 18th birthday.

Dahmer picked Hicks up, who was then hitchhiking, and brought him to his parents’ home in Bath, Ohio, near Akron. After a few hours of drinking and listening to music, Dahmer bludgeoned Hicks to death with a 10-pound dumbbell when he told his host he wanted to leave. Dahmer subsequently hacked the body up, placed the parts into garbage bags and buried them in the woods behind his home.

Although this occurred during Dahmer’s pre-cannibal days, a vegan restaurant would be a fitting use for the place, according to PETA, which said in its blog:

Like Dahmer’s human victims, cows, pigs, and chickens are made of flesh and blood and fear for their lives when confronted by a man with a knife. They are also drugged and dragged, and their limbs are bound. Their struggles and screams are ignored as they are killed and cut up to be consumed. Their bones are thrown away like garbage.

The difference is that when Dahmer was caught, his killing spree ended. Today, however, more than 30 billion animals are slaughtered in the U.S. every year in similarly gruesome ways for food.

Apart from PETA’s ludicrous equation of the murder of fellow human beings to the killing of animals for food, it’s difficult to fathom working up an appetite for anything — including bean sprouts — at the scene of a grizzly murder. PETA disagrees.

Ick! Kids complain about Michelle Obama’s school lunch
in pictures; would her kids eat this?

“What better way to transform this building’s sordid past than by creating a cruelty-free vegan dining spot in that will inspire visitors to choose nonviolent meals and practice compassion with every bite they take?” it says. “The name we have in mind is ‘Eat for Life—Home Cooking.’”

Good luck with this one.
