Breitbart’s raunchy Pelosi picture causes Wasserman Schultz, libs to freak out

PelosiBreitbartIn the latest display of Washington’s rampant hypocrisy, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee denounced a new Breitbart ad depicting House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s face on Miley Cyrus’s body.

And yet U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., failed to condemn the same tactic used against female Republicans.

Wasserman Schultz issued a statement Monday about Breitbart’s new California politics ad, which featured an image of a bikini-clad Pelosi sprawled on the floor on her hands and knees, The Hill reported.

“To say the least, the Breitbart News ad is foul, offensive, and disrespectful to all women,” the statement said. “It is a disgusting new low and would be reprehensible against any woman – regardless of party.”

Breitbart issued its own response, pointing out that the South Florida congresswoman never said a word when Democratic sycophants released raunchy pictures, songs, insults, jokes and sketches demeaning Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin.

“There have been plenty of other instances, in which liberal leaders like Pelosi and Wasserman Schultz have been silent when conservative women have been maligned,” Breitbart wrote.

Pelosi called Breitbart’s ad “tasteless” and “undignified,” telling The Washington Post, “I mean, is it even worthy of a question?”

The Breitbart street art campaign also photo-shopped Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown’s head atop a classic Arnold Schwarzenegger pose, put Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s face on a naked woman, and portrayed ex-CNN host Piers Morgan hurdling a fence, TalkingPointsMemo reported.

The new California bureau’s mission is “to cultivate new ideas and a new vision for how California can recover what it once was, and be even better, once again a hope for the nation instead of a drag,” Breitbart editor Joel Pollack said, according to The Hill.

Liberals were not alone in their shock as some conservatives were also quick to condemn the “inappropriate” pictures as going too far. ABC News reported:

Just last week, Majority Whip Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., praised the website’s launch, saying it would fill a “void of conservative activism” that was left after the death of Breitbart founder Andrew Breitbart.

“This weekend’s launch of Breitbart California is a testament to his legacy of holding our public officials accountable for their actions,” McCarthy said in a statement. “I look forward to the voice of reform-minded Californians being represented without bias as Breitbart California launches.”

But today, McCarthy was clearly miffed by the photoshopped images.

“The images are inappropriate,” Mike Long, McCarthy’s spokesman, said. “We requested that Whip McCarthy’s piece be taken down.”

Rest assured, any cease-fire will not last for long.
