Bill Maher: There is a gay mafia . . . if cross them, you do get whacked

The fact that the LGBT community’s radical faction reared its ugly head Thursday at former Mozilla chairman Brendan Eich, leading to his departure, didn’t escape notice of HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher.  His observation sounded like the beginnings of a new sequel to “The Godfather.”

When Maher brought up the incident, former Virginia Congressman Tom Davis noted how minor Eich’s alleged infraction was.

“He gave $1,000 eight years ago and it’s come back to haunt him,” he said.

“Well, and he gave it when President Obama was still against gay marriage. So, I don’t think it’s very fair,” Forbes’ Carrie Sheffield added.

“Good point,” Maher responded, before adding his zinger.

“I think there is a gay mafia,” he said, half-humorously, half-ominously. “I think if you cross them, you do get whacked.”
