Liberal Juan Williams strikes back against libs attacking his conservative son

Fox News contributor Juan Williams and his son Raffi had a chance Saturday to hit back at the race hustlers who dominate American liberal politics.

And they took it.

Raffi Williams, a deputy press secretary for the Republican National Committee, got publicly embroiled in racial politics last week while trying to stand up for Dr. Ben Carson. Ebony magazine Digital Editor Jamilah Lemieux editor had attacked Carson and other black conservatives in a series of Twitter posts, then turned her fire on Williams mistakenly thinking he was white.

“I forgot that tweeting something about a Conservative is like leaving a cookie out in a house full of roaches and turning off the lights,” Lemieux wrote.

During a “Fox and Friends” interview with Tucker Carlson, Raffi Williams said the biggest lesson was the inherent racism of liberals who think an individual worldview should be determined by skin color.

“I’m a conservative, and my race has nothing to do with my ideology,” Raffi Williams told Carlson.

“I think diversity of thought, the idea that my races is my genetics, but my brain and my thoughts are my own and come from my own experiences, that’s what’s important to me,” he said. “And I shouldn’t be shouted down no matter what color my skin is.”

Juan Williams called the whole tussle – which resulted in an apology to his son from Ebony Magazine – symptomatic of an ongoing liberal intimidation campaign targeting  black conservatives like Carson, former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and syndicated columnist Thomas Sowell.

“I think people should have the ability to think for themselves, first and foremost,” he said. However, “there’s a larger conversation here about the need, especially for minority communities, to look at new ideas.”

Juan Williams, of course, is no conservative — conservative journalists don’t get invited to White House confabs to strategize Obamacare PR. That gives his criticism of the libs’ even more credibility.

“To shut that conversation down, to try to intimidate people … What’s really at stake here is that people will see what happened to Raffi and say, ‘not me, I don’t want to be intimidated, I don’t want anybody calling me an ugly name, a traitor, a roach. They then don’t open their mouths.”

Substituting meaningless variations in skin complexion for true diversity of thought is one of the classic hypocrisies of modern American liberals – and resorting to ugly racial intimidation is one of their classic tactics.

On Saturday, Juan and Raffi Williams called them out on both.
