In the aftermath of a string of FBI crackdowns on corrupt Democratic politicians, conservative columnist Michelle Malkin is the lone voice asking, “Why now, and why all Democrats?”
Her theory: Republicans are next, just in time for the midterms.
“Prove me wrong,” she said.
Federal law enforcement agents arrested California state Sen. Leland Yee and Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon on multiple charges in the raids. The FBI also raided the offices of New York Assemblyman William Scarborough, according to The Huffington Post.
Also this week, Illinois state Rep. Keith Farnham stepped down in disgrace after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided his home and office and found evidence of child porn.
The raids and arrests all targeted Democratic politicians. While the folks at the Republican National Committee breathed a collective sigh of relief, Malkin analyzed what it all meant, tweeting:

And she was just getting warmed up. Malkin dropped the hammer by tweeting this sobering thought:

Consider, too, that the “GOP crackdown” Malkin is predicting doesn’t even have to be a righteous bust — but by the time the Republicans’ names are cleared, the November elections will be a distant memory. Don’t believe me? Google Tom DeLay.
