After Democrats’ use of sex, celebrities, sports figures and even lies to entice the public into buying insurance under the Affordable Care Act exchange, the Congressional Black Caucus has latched onto a new sales gimmick — racism, with a little sexism thrown in.
Obamacare’s March 31 deadline to enroll under its individual mandate, recently extended another two weeks, is fast approaching, yet sales remain sluggish. It seems no one wants to by lousy policies at inflated prices.
Tweets began appearing from Congressional Black Caucus members Wednesday afternoon, often including self-images, and each with the hashtag #BlackMenEnroll attached. Here’s one from U.S. Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y.:
Get insured before 3/31 deadline & encourage your brothers to be smart & stay healthy too. #BlackMenEnroll pic.twitter.com/3sMUWSfbEv

Although this newest campaign is specifically directed at black men, the ladies got involved too. Here’s U.S. Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif. She recently called Wisconsin’s Congressman Paul Ryan a racist for pointing out problems that hold up minorities.
Don't forget to #GetCovered! Especially important for black men–#BlackMenEnroll pic.twitter.com/4gGARLrQL6

None of this was lost on the Daily Surge’s Managing Editor Jerome Hudson, who tweeted:
If this #BlackMenEnroll hashtag were reversed and said “WhiteMenEnroll” I’m sure that wouldn’t be racist, right?
— Jerome Hudson (@JeromeEHudson) March 26, 2014
Tweets continued to fly all that day and into the next. LifeNews founder Steven Ertett retweeted RedState’s Ben Howe’s observation:
RT @BenHowe Enrollment will be short by the millions of black men that have been aborted over the decades. #BlackMenEnroll
— Steven Ertelt (@StevenErtelt) March 27, 2014
RedState contributing editor Breeanne Howe picked up on this theme:
#BlackMenEnroll Because now that you’ve made it past infancy, @BarackObama cares about you.
— Breeanne Howe (@breeannehowe) March 27, 2014
Finally, Hudson managed to illustrate the point of his original tweet and tweak the nose of Congresswoman Lee at the same time with this cleverly-Photoshopped image:
H/T The Daily Surge.
Really awkward! Obama speaks to crowd and only one person claps
