Take a good look at the photograph above. See anyone you recognize? No? Then toss the cigarette and forget about the skin art below the neck, and you have — that’s right, Ted Cruz, the dynamic GOP junior senator from Texas.

The posters began appearing around Los Angeles nightclubs, including the Viper Room, the Seventh Veil and Whiskey-a-Go-Go, according to Breitbart News, announcing, “Ted Cruz’s So Cal ‘Blacklisted & Loving It’ Tour” at the Beverly Hilton on March 15.

As it turns out, the senator (sans cigarette and tattoos) will be making a Los Angeles appearance then — but it won’t be at the Beverly Hilton.

Cruz will be presented with the Claremont Institute’s Statesmanship Award and deliver the keynote address at the organization’s annual Winston Churchill dinner. The event, set for Saturday night at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, will be emceed by talk radio host Hugh Hewitt.
