Much like the mafia, an Orlando, Fla., man is learning that once you sign up for Obamacare, there’s no getting out.
Andrew Robinson recently signed up for coverage through the Affordable Care Act, but was worried that he may not be able to afford the $289 monthly premium from Florida Blue, WFTV reported.
After looking further, he found a plan through Humana for just $116 a month, and that’s when his problems began.

“I immediately called back Florida Blue and asked them to cancel the policy,” Robinson told the local ABC affiliate.
Robinson said he was told that his policy would automatically cancel once he signed up for the other plan, but two days later a premium was deducted from his bank account.
That was more than six weeks ago and not only has Robinson not received a refund, but his policy with Florida Blue is still active.
Caught in a quandary, Robinson said he was told by Florida Blue that in order to cancel his policy, they must be notified by the marketplace that he has a new plan — the “catch-22” being that the marketplace told him they cannot do that, according to WFTV.
So after 50-60 hours on the phone, his ordeal continues, leaving us to wonder if this is yet another Obamacare horror story that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid would claim to be “untrue.”
