Gov. Rick Scott said Tuesday that Obamacare is hurting Floridians.
“I’ve traveled the state and talked to our citizens,” Scott told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto. “First, last fall 300,000 were told they were going to lose their insurance, and as you know, the president told them they wouldn’t. Now I talk to seniors and they’re saying, ‘Look, I can’t get a doctor.’”
Scott was responding to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’ criticism of states that haven’t expanded Medicaid.
“Basically what the administration is doing is raiding Medicare to pay for Obamacare,” he said.
Premiums are going up and people are losing their insurance, the governor said, adding that those on Medicaid are being affected the most.
