O’Reilly says Obama’s no Ronald Reagan: Petty tyrants now giving America ‘the proverbial finger’

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly used his “Talking Points Memo” Thursday evening to say that thanks to President Obama’s weak leadership on the world stage, “petty tyrants” in other countries are giving America “the proverbial finger.”

O’Reilly broke down what he called the “unintended consequences” of Obama undermining himself and America when he gave speeches in 2009 during what has been dubbed the “apology tour” around the world.

Because Obama “sent a signal that America is really no better than any other nation” and he didn’t’ take on the “authority” that Ronald Reagan did, the sad truth is that now, many view Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “stronger leader,” which has led to “all kinds of problems,” O’Reilly said.

“That idiot [Afghan President Hamid] Karzai is now insulting America in outrageous ways, Iran is jacking us around, [Bashar al-] Assad in Syria continues to kill civilians and now in Ukraine, there’s a civil war brewing,” O’Reilly continued.

Obama, he said, “has lost moral authority…and his base, the liberal-wing of the Democratic Party, opposes almost all strong action against overseas villains. That means that petty tyrants all over the world, like Assad and the Mullahs in Iran, can give us the proverbial finger and they are.”

“I think it’s safe to say Ronald Reagan would have handled the situation differently and President Obama might want to think upon that certainty.”
