In the infantile Democrat world of Obamacare, 26-year-olds are too stupid to do much anything.
In her “Tonight Show” interview with host Jimmy Fallon, first lady Michelle Obama explained why young adults – 26 and older — should be signing up for Obamacare in droves. It’s mainly because they haven’t done anything for themselves yet.
“Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, young people can stay on their parents’ insurance until they are 26,” Obama said. “But once they hit 26, they’re on their own and a lot of young people think they are invincible. But the truth is, young people are knuckleheads, you know? They’re the ones who are cooking for the first time and slice their finger open. They’re dancing on the bar stool.”
Dancing on bar stools, maybe (inebriation rarely respects age). But “they’re on their own”? Cooking for the first time? At 26? Does the first lady think the whole country lives in the cossetted world of White House servants, Hawaiian vacations and $12,000 dinner gowns?
And while it’s instructive to know she considers young people “knuckleheads,” it might be helpful if Mrs. Obama remembered that there are young people who aren’t cooking for the first time or dancing on bar stools because they’re patrolling the mountains of Afghanistan, with their young adult lives in her husband’s hands.

Or they’re at home and getting married and having children (OK, those are probably Republicans), starting careers or doing any one of the millions of things human beings who are 26 years old – adults – have been doing for thousands of years.
But the first lady’s blurted opinion of an entire generation did hit the nail right on the head in one respect.
In the infantilized world of Obamacare, the 26-year-olds she’s talking about are too stupid to do much of anything — but vote for her husband.
Knuckleheads.
