No joke – guess what embarrassing thing happened to the WH on ‘National Youth Enrollment Day’?

On what Obamacare youth activists touted as “a huge day of action to educate young adults on the importance of having health insurance,” the HealthCare.gov website was dysfunctional. No one could sign up.

Events were planned across the country to energize the vital 18-to-35 age group to insure their medical futures, but the technology team didn’t get the message, according to reports by RedAlertPolitics and Breitbart News.

The quagmire meant the social media barrage of encouraging messages by pop stars like Beyonce, Adam Levine and Lady Gaga urging young people to sign up was a big waste of effort.

So much for National Youth Enrollment Day.

The Obama administration had chosen Feb. 15 for its big push because it was the last day to enroll to ensure coverage by March 1. Energetic event promoters were stunned.

“We just found out,” Aaron Smith, co-founder of the Young Invincibles recruitment team, told Buzzfeed. “Obviously, it’s unfortunate.”

The financial viability of Obama’s signature legislative achievement depends on attaining a 40 percent ratio of young people enrolled, to offset the higher medical costs of the elderly. The latest debacle came on the heels of innumerable delays, changes and the initial rollout snafu, spelling disaster for the program’s longevity.

Obamacare and the Department of Health and Human Services, it appeared, somehow missed that it was National Youth Enrollment Day, since their websites made no mention of it. To a generation born and bred on high-tech proficiency, this constitutes another public relations embarrassment.
