If faced with an uncontrollable urge to commit a serious crime, the first thing one should do is book a flight to Norway.
Notorious for it lenient treatment of criminals, Norway is being accused of “torture” for forcing notorious mass murderer Anders Breivik to get by with an outdated Playstation 2, instead of upgrading his system to a Playstation 3, according to Agence France-Presse.
Convicted of killing 77 people in a horrific bombing and shooting attack in 2011, Breivik was sentenced to 21 years in prison — the maximum sentence available under Norwegian law. Norway does not have a death penalty or life sentences.

The New York Times reported at the time of his conviction that Breivik “will live in a prison outside Oslo in a three-cell suite of rooms equipped with exercise equipment, a television and a laptop, albeit one without Internet access.”
A little over a year later, Breivik wrote a letter to authorities saying that he is “in hell” and will go on a hunger strike if he continues to be treated “worse than an animal,” Agence France-Presse reported.
The letter included a list of twelve demands. In addition to complaining about his outdated gaming system, he wants better games and a sofa or armchair to replace a chair he described as “painful.”
“Other inmates have access to adult games while I only have the right to play less interesting kids games,” he wrote in the letter. “One example is ‘Rayman Revolution,’ a game aimed at three year olds.”
He also wants his weekly allowance — the equivalent of about $49 — doubled.
Allowance???
“You’ve put me in hell,” Breivik protested. “I won’t manage to survive that long. You are killing me.”
If only we could be so lucky.
