On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin paid tribute to the late civil rights leader by reminding everyone of his principal message.

“’I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.’ – Martin Luther King, Jr.,” she quoted on Facebook.

Then she added a personal message to President Obama:

“Mr. President, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and all who commit to ending any racial divide, no more playing the race card.”

This was apparently in response to the president attributing his sinking approval numbers to the fact that he’s black. Palin’s point was obvious — King’s message was that eace should be eliminated as a factor, not emphasized.

She followed up by tweeting:

Steven Knight, who claims to “excel at being mediocre,” added this message to Palin’s tweet:

Knight is right — he is indeed mediocre, and he does a damn fine job of it.

And what’s the conclusion to this? The left believes opinions count only when the left agrees with them, First Amendment freedom of speech rights be damned.
