U.S. House Speaker John Boehner had four little, but powerful, words to respond to President Obama’s recent vow to “use every executive action available to him” – including a pen, his phone, whatever he needs – to run over Congress this year to push his agenda.
“We have the Constitution.”

“President Obama says he has a pen and a phone he can use to bypass Congress. Pens and phones are nice, but we have the Constitution…” the full photo caption read as posted on the speaker’s Facebook wall Wednesday.
During Obama’s weekly address last Saturday, he vowed 2014 would be a “year of action,” saying he would “act alone,” without Congress, using executive authority if he must.
On Tuesday, Obama reiterated that vow saying, “I’ve got a pen, and I’ve got a phone. And I can use that pen to sign executive orders.”
