Recognizing comedic gold when they see it, the folks at Saturday Night Live wasted little time in taking advantage of the controversy surrounding Fox News’ Megyn Kelly declaring, tongue-in-cheek, that Santa Claus is white.
Santa, played by black comedian Kenan Thompson, was invited on “Weekend Update” to respond to Kelly’s assertion and he assured all that he is “black as hell.”

When asked if he was OK with people thinking Santa is white, the jolly fat man replied: “White guys taking credit for what a black guy did? I’m more used to it than I am okay with it.”
After sharing an “original” version of “The Night Before Christmas,” Santa dropped a bombshell when he outed Prancer as a gay reindeer. He further shocked viewers when he disclosed that Mrs. Claus in not black.
“You think a black woman would tolerate making a living out in the middle of the snowy wilderness? No, if Mrs. Claus was black, Santa would be living in Atlanta near her momma.”
In response to the drummed up controversy, Kelly said Friday, “Humor is a part of what we try to bring to this show, but sometimes that’s lost on the humorless.”
