Girl banned from selling mistletoe to get braces wins over Megyn Kelly

The plucky 11-year-old Oregon girl who was kicked out of the Portland Saturday Market for selling mistletoe without a license made an appearance on “The Kelly File” Wednesday night and totally won over the Fox News host, Megyn Kelly.

Amazingly, Madison Root was told she couldn’t sell her hand-cut and packaged holiday favorite, but she was free to beg.

Kelly asked her what made her so upset when she was forced to stop selling.

“What made me so mad was that he said I could beg, but I couldn’t work hard and sell,” she replied. “What has society come to — teaching these kids that it’s okay to beg instead of work hard and sell?”

“How old are you?” Kelly asked. When Madison replied that she was 11, Kelly said, “Incredible — going on 30, and the next President of the United States in 25 years.”

At the close of the interview, Kelly predicted, “I see great things for you in your future, Hon.”

Madison beamed at this, exposing her top row of new braces.

When Glenn Beck heard Madison’s story, he set her up to sell her items through his website, and she sold out in an hour. She’s working feverishly to put together another 1,000.
