While the realities on the ground have long since dispelled the myth put forth by President Obama that if you like you healthcare plan, you can keep it, he promised the same thing when it comes to keeping your doctor.
Fox News political commentator Brit Hume pretty much destroyed that notion in a single tweet Saturday morning. Pointing out that his wife signed on to the Affordable Care Act, Hume asked: “How many of her doctors in top plan available?”
Professor’s spelling corrections on student papers called racist, sign of times
My wife signed on to ACA website today. Found only plans from Anthem Blue Cross. How many of her doctors in top plan available? Zero.

As can be seen, the answer is zero. But he’s not the only Fox News employee to experience this, as anchor Bill Hemmer shared a similar story earlier in the week.
Supporters weighed in with sympathy and similar experiences, as documented by Twitchy.com:
@brithume Blue Cross is the only company in the exchange here in West Virginia.

@brithume Buuuuut… Michelle Obama said “some” <cough…you…cough> will have to give up a piece of your pie at times, Mr. Hume. #obey

Employing the prerequisite tactic of the left — distract away from unfavorable topics at hand — a zealot tried to turn the focus back on Fox News, but Hume was having none of that:
@brithume I’m shocked that FoxNews doesn’t offer her coverage through you. That’s the real story here.

It does. She was just windowshopping“@kyjl89: I’m shocked that FoxNews doesn’t offer her coverage through you. That’s the real story here.”
— Brit Hume (@brithume) November 30, 2013
And in what may be the weakest argument ever, leaving America baffled at how Republican lawmakers are regularly outmaneuvered by Democrats, an attorney from Wisconsin tweeted:
@brithume@Brad_Carlson Perhaps her doctors aren’t very good. Insurers don’t contract with doctors that don’t provide quality care.
