Tallahassee based Christian organization, Florida Prayer Network announced its plans Tuesday to “make history” by erecting a nativity scene inside the State Capitol. The display will join the Christmas tree and menorah traditionally set up for the holidays season.
The announcement on the group’s Facebook page includes an invitation for the public to watch the dedication ceremony:
Please join us in making history! We are placing a Nativity Scene in the rotunda of the Florida State Capitol-dedication ceremony is Dec. 3 Noon-1pm -Plaza Level of the New Capitol. It will be on display from Dec. 3-27th This is a privately funded display to honor Christ in Christmas at the heart of our state government! Please help spread the word and come out to support religious freedom in our nation!
