For someone who once whispered he’d like to cut off a certain part of Barack Obama‘s anatomy, it would appear that race hustler Jesse Jackson knows a thing or two about hostility.
During an appearance on Arsenio Hall’s talk show over the weekend, Jackson spoke of the conditions Obama endures, and managed to give the tea party a backhanded compliment in the process.
“He is serving us well against the most hostility an American president has ever had,” Jackson said.
Is this the ‘single most narcissistic photo in history of WH’?
A statement that ignores the reality that black unemployment has grown worse under Obama’s presidency, and median family income for black Americans has declined a whopping 10.9 percent, according to the New York Times. More than double the rate for whites and Hispanics.
As for the “hostility,” the claim doesn’t even hold true in comparison to Obama’s immediate predecessor, much less what a few other presidents endured, such as Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy.
In the process of standing up for Obama, Jackson heralded the tea party as the greatest advocacy group ever when he said “there have been more attempts to derail his legislation than in the history of the country.”
When asked how his son Jesse Jackson, Jr., is doing, the father took issue with the punishment the former Illinois congressman received after pleading guilty to violating campaign-finance laws, saying he should have been allowed to stay in office and return the money.
He then has the gall to complain about “the two sets of rules” — only in his delusional world.
