Sebelius’ helpful response watching Obamacare website crash in Miami: ‘Uh-oh’

Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius invited the media to cover her visit to Miami’s North Shore Hospital to meet with navigators enrolling people in Obamacare, but HealthCare.gov wasn’t cooperating.

Members of the Epilepsy Foundation were staffing the Obamacare Navigation Center in the lobby of the hospital when Sebelius stopped in and shook hands with the friendly crowd, according to local TV station CBS4.

The event was meant to put a positive spin on the embattled website, but while speaking with a woman who was trying to enroll, CBS4 reporter Brian Andrews pointed out that the site had crashed.

“The screen says, ‘I’m sorry but the system is temporarily down,’” Andrews said.

Sebelius’ response? “Uh-oh.”

According to CBS4, Sebelius acknowledged in a subsequent news conference the website hadn’t been tested enough before the rollout.

“Had I known then what I know now, things would have been different,” she said.
