It all depends on what the meaning of the word “truth” is.
But if you are living in liberal la-la land, facts and truths are stupid things.
Enter Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee from Texas, who gave a doozy of an interview to National Review Online Friday and said the insurance cancellation letters millions of Americans have received thanks to Obamacare were “not the truth.”
According to NRO:
The cancellation notice was not the truth,” she says. “It should have been: ’We intend to or expect to modify your insurance.’”
She adds that cancellation is what happens “when you don’t pay your premium, or something has happened in the bad old days,” but that’s not what’s happening here.
“A cancellation notice was the inappropriate document to send without notice,” she continues. “All they had to do is that, ‘This is a notice to say that we’re going to improve your insurance, not, in essence, eliminate your insurance.’”
Apparently in Lee’s world, the truth is that American’s healthcare coverage will be better under Obamacare.
But doesn’t that seem to be the lie of the decade?
