Life imitates art as Obama plays round of golf on ‘Caddyshack’ course

In today’s world, life imitates art far more than art imitates life.

Case in point, President Barack Obama played golf on Saturday afternoon at the course where the movie “Caddyshack” was filmed.

When it comes to comedic relief, it just doesn’t get much better than this — the classic movie is “a modern-day allegory on class conflict like the kind stoked by Obama’s political career,” Patrick Howley wrote for the Daily Caller.

Fresh off a trio of fundraisers the previous night, Obama played a round of golf at Grande Oaks Golf Club in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., playing in a foursome that included former NBA star Alonzo Mourning, Daily Caller reported.

Despite playing golf frequently, 150 rounds and counting, Obama is not very good at it — much like governing.

As reported, golf instructor Butch Harmon once told the magazine Golf Digest that Obama has “no wind-up… tends to pull across and slap shots… It doesn’t look like he has a lot of power.”

Never has one video encapsulated so much of what Barack Obama is all about than a short clip of him teeing off. Amid sheer adulation upon striking the ball, a voice can be heard exclaiming, “Oh my God, that is so cool!”

It is not until the end of the clip that you hear a male voice ask, “Was it a good shot? Did you guys see?”

“I didn’t see where it went,” a woman responds.

The scenario pretty much sums up Obama’s presidency, does it not?
