While selling Obamacare to the American people, President Obama has repeatedly said, “If you like your plan, you can keep it. Period.”
Period meaning end of discussion, no qualifying statements required.
No ifs, ands or buts.
However, in what may be “the first admission from a top administration official,” as stated by Breitbart’s John Nolte, David Axelrod altered Obama’s promise Monday when he said that the “vast majority” will keep their plan.
During an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” the former senior advisor to Obama countered a comment made by U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., saying, “The majority of people in this country — the vast majority — are keeping their plan.”
A statement that is still not accurate.
“Axelrod’s rephrased guarantee comes as reports of millions of Americans losing their healthcare plans are rolling in,” the National Review wrote.
