Obama potty causes big ruckus in small town

A sign on a busy highway in Tucumcari, New Mexico has conservative grinning and liberals spitting blood. It hangs over a porta-potty sitting in front of a tractor repair business and reads, “Obama’s Presidential Library.”

But whatever one’s feelings, it’s turned into something of a tourist attraction, with people stopping by to take photographs of the outhouse and sign, according to Albuquerque ABC affiliate KOAT Channel 7 news.

“I like it! Oh God yeah,” enthused one local. “You’re about the tenth person that’s come down and stopped to take pictures of it.”

But not everyone in town shares those artistic tastes.

“I’m not in support of the sign,” said another. “It popped up there one day and the little building popped up and I thought, what in the world did they do that for?”

The sign’s creator eventually came out to be interviewed and couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about.

“Its like watching TV if you don’t like what the hell you’re watching, turn the channel. Im not even certain he even deserves that level of respect, but that’s my opinion so it’s a small sign in a small town, making a big ruckus.”

As for why he placed the sign, he offered this.

“That’s my opinion, and fortunately, that’s one thing they haven’t taken away from us is our right to our opinion.”
