Huge pro-gun crowd shows up, squashes anti-gun event

A Columbus, Ohio gun control rally, meant to gin up support for increased background checks, quickly turned into a National Rifle Association event.

“It certainly answers the question, what exactly happens when you throw a political rally and no one shows up, except for your opposition,” noted Central Ohio’s 10TV’s Jim Heath.

The pro-Second Amendment crowd vastly outnumbered the gun control advocates, and carried such signs as, “Guns save lives” and “Back off, Bloomberg.”

Earlier this year, that state’s junior senator, Rob Portman, a Republican, voted against increased background checks for gun buyers.
