Dear Mayor Walter Gray: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to be interviewed by a very big-breasted, blonde, shock jock who will bare her boobs right before your very eyes to test your ability to keep said eyes on her, uh, face.
British Columbia journalist, Lori Welbourne, removed her shirt Friday while interviewing the Kelowna mayor – in city hall, of all places – about the legality of women going topless in the town.
Apparently, “International Go Topless Day” was Sunday (Wimps. Impress us, hold it in January) and Welbourne was bringing attention to this “gender equality” movement, Raw Story reported.
That Welbourne’s strip-down was simply a publicity stunt that Gray knew all along was coming is evident by Gray’s complete lack of a normal reaction – he barely looks.
Oh, he looks, but literally for a fraction of a second.
“What are you doing?” Gray asked.
“It’s really hot in here,” she replied.
“Really?” Gray said.
In fact, “Gray later told CBC News that he knew what was coming ahead of time and was playing along,” the Huffington Post reported.
Welbourne explained the point she was trying to make on her blog.
According to Raw Story, Welbourne wrote:
The idea behind the Go Topless movement is to promote gender equality. Events on its special day are planned all over the U.S., and other countries as well, encouraging women to bare their chests in public, and suggesting men cover theirs up with bras or bikinis to highlight the double standard.
