Michelle Malkin explodes over Reid, race and the ‘liberal plantation’

Sean Hannity assumed the role of referee during his Fox News show Monday while discussing what he called “the quintessential attacks” by Democrats and their use of the race card. Democratic political strategist Ebony Williams was taking on a fired-up Michelle Malkin without much luck.

Hannity opened the segment by playing comments made by U. S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., in a radio interview last week. Reid said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell had one goal – to defeat President Obama – and it was obvious everything was being done to make the president fail.

“And I hope, I hope, and I say this seriously, I hope that it’s based on substance, not the fact that he’s an African American” Reid said during the interview withKNPR.

Malkin, a conservative columnist and author, said Reid accuses anyone who wanders off the “liberal plantation” of being a traitor, adding that Reid is “among the most racist people on this planet.”

Williams countered that using the term “liberal plantation” was racially insensitive.

“It is undeniable that the left claims the mind of every young person of color,” Malkin said, adding that liberals are quick to demonize all conservative minorities as Uncle Toms.

Malkin even went so far as to call Reid an “encrusted Beltway barnacle” and a “major troll,” saying he tries to “use the race card against Republicans to deflect from his own legislative failures.”
