DHS forced to rent hotels for surge of Mexicans requesting asylum

A new trend seems to be developing in the wake of reports early last week that Homeland Security tentatively approved asylum requests for seven Mexicans.

The group included some who were living here illegally but left and tried to re-enter to protest U.S. immigration policies — you can’t make this stuff up.

Mexican nationals, a.k.a. future Democrat voters, are now pouring across the border requesting asylum. The surge is overwhelming immigration agents, forcing agencies to acquire hotel rooms for some and release others to cities around the U.S., according to Fox News.

Who needs a “coyotaje” to cross the southern border when the Department of Homeland Security proves to be so accommodating? And they’re less likely to rip you off or leave you stranded in the harsh desert environment along the Mexican-American border.

Perhaps this is why Democrats in Congress are willing to publicly support feigned attempts at strengthening border security?

It is highly unusual for the U.S. government to grant asylum to Mexican citizens, but the illegal immigrants have learned their chances improve greatly by using a few key words — such as claiming they have a “credible fear” of drug cartels, Fox News reported.

And there are suspicions about what is driving the sudden influx.

“This clearly has to have been orchestrated by somebody,” former U.S. Attorney for Southern California Peter Nunez told Fox News. “It’s beyond belief that dozens or hundreds or thousands of people would simultaneously decide that they should go to the U.S. and make this claim.”

Gee, I wonder who it could be?
