Ted Nugent says ‘Trayvon Martin got justice,’ laughs at death threats

Ted Nugent

Legendary high-octane rocker Ted Nugent appeared on “The Weekend” radio program hosted by Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo Saturday and remarked that Trayvon Martin “got justice” when he was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in self-defense.

Pagliarulo observed that Nugent’s critics claim he doesn’t “have the right to talk about Trayvon Martin unless” he dedicates a “moment of silence” to Trayvon during his concerts and “begs for justice for Trayvon.”

“I’m merely repeating the conclusion of the hugest investigative armt in the history of the court system,” Nugent said. “Both the FBI and the Department of Justice and the entire Florida investigative resources were brought to the maximum effect and efficiency when they concluded what the jury concluded: that George Zimmerman defended himself against a vicious life-threatening attack by a — I use the terms that came from the forensic evidence, ‘a dope-smoking gangsta wannabe.’”

Nugent was on a roll, and Pagliarulo knew better than to interrupt.

“I mean, everybody knows it’s true,” he continued. “And ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, you might want to write this down — Trayvon got justice. George Zimmerman got a sliver of justice, even though he was bankrupted and now he’s being targeted by what appears to be Barack Obama and Eric Holder’s best friends, the Black Panthers. I mean, stop and think for a minute, Joe. The president of the United States and the top law enforcement official of the United States of America sides with the Black Panthers? Are you kidding me?”

Despite those who will be protesting upcoming concerts in Connecticut and threats against his life, Nugent confirmed he wasn’t about to change.

“No, we will not have a moment of silence for Trayvon because Trayvon was a criminal gangster who attacked a good man doing neighborhood watch services for his neighborhood,” Nugent said. “George Zimmerman did nothing wrong. Nothing! He did not profile. He is not a racist. The real profiler and the real racist here, and again it breaks my heart, is Trayvon Martin and Jesse Jackson and Al ‘Not So’ Sharpton, the attorney general, the president and all the Black Panthers. This is a tragedy, Joe. And it hurts to even have to admit this, but it is the truth.”
