MSNBC’s Touré took some liberty with Magic Johnson’s tweet by cutting out the part he didn’t like before he retweeted it, but was publicly called out for the edit, Twitchy reported Friday.
Johnson tweeted his thoughts Friday on Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper’s use of the n-word at a concert in June:
“Riley Cooper’s teammates will never forgive him, I don’t care what they say publicly. Riley should be given a second chance. People will never look at Riley Cooper the same.”
But, apparently a second chance for Cooper wasn’t what Touré wanted to hear, so little liberal MSNBC employee he is, he cut out the two last sentences before retweeting:
