Daily Show host goes nuts when Weiner invokes 9-11 in sexting scandal

John Oliver, guest hosting Wednesday night’s “The Daily Show,” excoriated New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner for using words evocative of 9-11 in an ad that referred to his sexting scandal, all to hilarious results. When he finished with Weiner, he then mopped up the floor with San Diego Mayor Bob Filner.

When Weiner used the phrase, “that’s not how New Yorkers roll’” in a political ad, it stirred up memories of the passengers of United flight 93 who, on 9-11, fought back at the terrorist-hijackers with the battle cry, “Let’s roll!”

“No, no, no, no, no! You are not doing this! You are not 9-11-ing your dick pics!” Oliver said. “In fact, maybe you should just stop talking altogether and hire a professional communications director to do that for you.”

Which brought Oliver to the inappropriate word choice used by Weiner’s communications director, Barbara Morgan, in publicly describing former campaign intern Olivia Nuzzi as a ”bitch,” “slutbag,” “twat,” and “c*nt”

“What is Anthony Weiner going to do? Fire her for inappropriate behaviour?” Oliver asked.

“He can’t do that!” he decided. “And that is why he won’t be able to run this city. He has no standing to punish anyone for anything anymore.”

He then ran the accusations made against Mayor Filner against a “Eww-O-Meter.”
