Bill O’Reilly’s powerful Monday night “Talking Points Memo” is likely to promote serious debate around the water cooler Tuesday morning, as he told President Obama and the “race hustlers” and “limousine liberals” it’s time to stop with the fake victimization and get the “gangsta culture,” influenced black youth under control.
He began by complimenting the president for broaching the subject of racial divide in his surprise appearance Friday at the White House press briefing room. “The president was correct in addressing the race issue and framing it with the Martin case,” O’Reilly noted. But then he got down to business.
“The sad truth is that from the president on down, our leadership has no clue, no clue at all about how to solve problems within the black community,” O’Reilly said. “And many are frightened to even broach the issue. That’s because race hustlers and the grievance industry have intimidated the so-called ‘conversation,’ turning any valid criticism of African-American culture into charges of racial bias.”
As a result, “many in power simply walk away, leaving millions of law-abiding African-Americans to pretty much fend for themselves in violent neighborhoods.
“You want racism? That’s racism,” he emphasized. “Thus it’s time for some straight talk.”
After first condemning the profiling of Martin by George Zimmerman on the night Martin was killed, O’Reilly said, “Here’s the headline. Young black men commit homicides at a rate 10 times greater than whites and hispanics combined.” In the meantime “the civil rights industry looks the other way or makes excuses.”
The problem boils down to, he opined, “the disintegration of the African-American family.”
He noted that black leaders from the president on down have refused to address the fact that “73 percent of all black babies are born out of wedlock.” This, combined with the “gangsta culture,” promoted by the entertainment industry is “encouraging irresponsibility” and “glorifying bad behavior.”
“It’s now time for the African-American leadership, including President Obama, to stop the nonsense,” O’Reilly concluded. “Walk away from the world of victimization and grievance and lead the way out of this mess.”
