Windbag King likes no one but himself for president in 2016

U.S. Rep. Peter King’s miserable attitude is becoming tiresome.

The New York Republican pretty much likes no one in the party’s chances, except his crotchety own self’s, for the presidential nomination in 2016.

In an informal interview with ABC News, King bluntly knocked fellow Republicans Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio out of presidential contention.

On U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, King once said he couldn’t imagine supporting him.

On U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz,  “I’m not a big fan,” he said, adding, “I think he’s too much of an isolationist. Too negative a view. Bad image for the party and bad policy.” Mr. Pot meet the kettle.

On U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, “I have some hard feelings after what he did – voting against aid to New York and New Jersey. I’m not over it yet.”  Obviously.

But, he’s ok with another outspoken Republican, Gov. Chris Christie, and he likes Paul Ryan. Well to clarify, he has “nothing to say negative about Paul.”

The old curmudgeon said Hillary Clinton would “destroy” any Republican nominee from the “isolationist wing of the party” (read: Cruz and Paul).

Which leaves King, in his mind, as the one to “stand up to” Clinton in 2016.

And boxer that he is, he said, “I’m going to be feeling out the opponents the first few rounds, throwing jabs and jabs and, when they’re not looking, right cross – it’s over.”

It’s going to be a long three years listening to this grudge-holding windbag.
