‘The View’ host becomes pro-gun after home break-in

In the National Rifle Association’s latest installment of “Shifting Perspectives,” commentator Natalie Foster gives a big thumbs up to “The View’s” Sherri Shepherd for being honest about her decision to buy a firearm and receive proper training.

It all began when Shepherd’s home was broken into.

“In the morning, the alarm went off in our house — warning, intruder, get out of the house,” she said, noting that at the time, her only weapon for self-defense was “a wicker basket.”

After buying the gun, she announced to her family, “We’re going to the gun range, we’re going to learn how to use it,” and “We will do everything we can to be responsible.”

After running a clip of Shepherd’s announcement, Foster said, “Welcome to the club, sister!”

Foster was brought on to the NRA in March to host its “Shifting Perspectives” commentary. She also blogs for her own site, Girls Guide To Guns, “dedicated to women who dig fashion and fire power.” In addition to offering serious advice to “chicks with guns,” her site also gives tips such as how to look “extra cute” at the gun range.
