Coulter slams Zimmerman trial coverage, media paints US as racist

Ann Coulter used an appearance on Fox News with Sean Hannity Thursday, and to criticize the media’s coverage of the George Zimmerman trial. Both she and her host agreed that the media had declared Zimmerman guilty before the trial even began.

“This case would have never been brought if the races were reversed,” Coulter said.

Coulter compared the case to a black stripper’s false rape allegations against three white Duke lacrosse players in 2006, saying the media “needs their fake case of how racist America is out trying to rape and murder black people.”

Hannity gave examples of the media’s reference to Zimmerman’s race – CNN called him a white Hispanic and AP said he was a “self-proclaimed Hispanic.”

“Self-proclaimed!” Coulter laughed. “Well, I’m a self-proclaimed African-American, so I want extra rights here.”
