Former Gov. Sarah Palin announced on Sean Hannity’s radio program Tuesday that she’s considering a run for the U.S. Senate in 2014 representing Alaska.
One of the main arguments one hears against a Palin candidacy for any national office has been her lack of foreign policy experience. Adding some time in the Senate would fill that void nicely.
She also expressed frustration with the Republican Party, and would consider a “Freedom Party” affiliation.
“If they in the party abandon us, we have no other choice,” she said.
As for a Senate run, Palin said, “I’ve considered it, because people have requested me considering it, but I’m still waiting to see what the lineup will be, and hoping there will be some new blood, new energy, not just picking from the same old politicians from the state.”
