Rush Limbaugh made a rare television appearance, via phone, on “Fox and Friends’ Tuesday morning and talked about a wide range of issues, to include immigration reform and how it could impact the Republican Party in the 2014 mid-term elections.
A few hours later, during his top rated radio show, Limbaugh told his listeners that Fox News producers didn’t want him talking about what he saw as the negative effects of immigration reform on the GOP.
“I told the people at Fox, I wanted to talk about this today three or four times,” he offered. “And they wouldn’t do it. They were not interested in bringing this subject up.”
“They asked me, ‘What do you want to talk about?’ I didn’t tell them I wanted to talk about Egypt. I didn’t want to talk about Egypt,” Limbaugh added. “The first thing out of my mouth: I want to talk about immigration and the state of the Republican Party. Wouldn’t go there. I had to bring it up myself.”
“And that, by the way, is quite telling,” he observed.
It’s not hard to predict that it could be a while before El Rushbo appears on Fox News again.
