Judge Jeanine: Give IRS’ bonuses to returning disabled military

“You get a day’s pay for a day’s work, nothing more and nothing less.”

That is the premise Jeanine Piro used to begin the opening statement segment of Saturday’s edition of “Justice with Judge Jeanine.” The subject was the extra pay Internal Revenue Service employees demand, despite their shenanigans.

irs-building“This week, we find out that the IRS employees are getting an extra $70 million in bonuses,” she said, according to Fox News.

“Now why even give them bonuses?” she asked, referring to “irresponsible, unnecessary and foolish spending” prevalent in the federal government.

“The people that can’t wait to audit you, the people that can’t wait to intimidate you, waste away our money while they squeeze every nickel and dime out of the rest of us,” she said.

After playing a short clip of President Obama saying the IRS “will be held fully accountable,” Piro noted that no IRS employee has “been punished, fired or even been held responsible.”

Senior IRS supervisor Lois Lerner, who apparently lied to Congress before exercising her constitutional right against self-incrimination, is now on a “paid vacation” and will also be expecting to receive a bonus, despite her behavior, Piro said.

“And yesterday, though, we hear the Treasury Inspector General’s report that the IRS sent out $46 million in federal tax refunds to almost 24,000 unauthorized alien workers,” she said. “And all to the same address.”

“Do these geniuses really think 24,000 people live in the same house?” she added. “I have an idea. Why not put the NSA on the IRS for their ingenious but nonexistent metadata collection to figure out what a third-grader could figure out in a minute.”

Piro also observed that “police officers put their lives on the line every day. They don’t get bonuses. Firemen run into burning buildings to save us,” and “military men and women come home with limbs blown off. We don’t give them bonuses. Hell, we don’t even take care of them.”

Piro ended her rant this way: “Wouldn’t it be a little more American to take that $70 million and give it to the men and women returning from your wars with fewer body parts than they left with?”
