Obama, campaigning, complains about campaigns

It’s kind of like the guy who kills his parents, then wants mercy because he’s an orphan.

A president who spent Wednesday campaigning the East Coast from top to bottom – Boston in the morning, Miami after dusk – keeps blaming campaigning politicians for the country’s political problems.

obamatwofaced“What’s holding us back right now is inaction in Washington, gridlock in Washington – too many folks in Washington who are putting the next election ahead of the next generation,” said Obama, who was doing his part to cut back on Washington gridlock by not being there.

“I want you to know I’ve run my last campaign,” Obama told the deep blue Democrats of the Bay state, who are caught up in the campaign to replace Secretary of State John Kerry in a Massachussetts Senate seat.

He said he wakes up every day asking himself, “How do I make America a magnet for good jobs?”

Maybe to get an answer to that question, he then flew to Florida, where Republican Gov. Rick Scott has overseen a drop in unemployment from 11.9 percent to 7.4 percent since 2010.

Obama, the campaign criticizer, was in Miami for a private fundraising dinner, to raise money for Democratic political campaigns. The man who castigated the Supreme Court on national television for a ruling that opened the way for more corporate money in politics was behind close doors to rake in private money for Democratic politics.

“My only concern is making sure that we advance the interests of the broadest number of Americans,” Obama said before leaving Massachussetts, “and we leave our children a stronger, safer, more prosperous country.”

That’s his next campaign.
