For anyone who may have been unsure about whether former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had her eyes set on the White House in 2016 can rest assured that she does — she joined Twitter today.
Officially joining the social media site under the user name @HillaryClinton, she “tweeted” for the first time Monday afternoon, as reported by Business Insider:
Thanks for the inspiration @asmith83 & @sllambe – I’ll take it from here… #tweetsfromhillary
— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) June 10, 2013
Her biography is compelling, to say the least::
“Wife, mom, lawyer, women & kids advocate, FLOAR, FLOTUS, US Senator, SecState, author, dog owner, hair icon, pantsuit aficionado, glass ceiling cracker, TBD…”
The profile picture she selected is a TIME photo of her checking her blackberry aboard a military C-17, on her way to meet with Libyan rebel leaders in Tripoli.
Among the horde of media outlets welcoming Hillary to Twitter was none other than husband and former President Bill Clinton:
Does @twitter have a family share plan? Great to be here with @hillaryclinton & @chelseaclinton. Looking forward to #tweetsfromhillary.

And among the first to kiss up is Florida’s very own Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who certainly hopes to continue her role as head of the Democratic National Committee during Clinton’s presidential run.
.@hillaryclinton‘s an inspiration. Look forward to reading her Twitter feed.
