Maher: ‘I’m giving away all of my money – not to Obama this time’

Bill MaherWith an obvious reference to his 2012 $1 million Obama suoer-PAC campaign contribution, HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher mentioned on his Friday night show that he would be giving all his money away — “not to Obama, though.”

With the IRS scandals, snooping of the press as well as the NSA’s intrusion into our phone records and emails, the left — including Maher — is growing increasingly frustrated with the direction of our country.

Maher asked author Tom Shadyac his opinion of the Zephyrhills, Fla., woman who had recently won the largest PowerBall in history, according to NewsBusters.

“I mean, she’s old. She can’t use it. She’s like 84. She won like hundreds of millions.” he said.

“I did not hear about this woman,” Shadyac replied. “But we know what lotteries do to most lottery winners, and that’s the same rules of happiness apply.”

“You’re right,” Maher agreed. “That’s a good point. They’re not happy. Sometimes they’re suicidal from it.”

“That’s right. It tears families apart,” Shadyac noted. “People come in after the wealth, and it’s just pretty much a mess.”

“Hmmm. I’m giving away all of my money – not to Obama this time though.”
