President Obama had some explaining to do Tuesday evening as he welcomed a crowd assembled at the White House for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month celebration.
No, not about the scandal upon scandal plaguing his administration.
He needed to explain the red lipstick marks on his collar, pronto.
“I want to thank everybody who’s here – the incredible warmth of the reception. A sign of the warmth is the lipstick on my collar,” Obama joked.
He then turned attention to the “culprit,” the Aunt of “American Idol” runner-up Jesssica Sanchez.
“I just want everybody to witness,” Obama said to Sanchez’s Aunt. “So I do not want to be in trouble with Michelle. That’s why I’m calling you out right in front of everybody.”
To be fair, lipstick isn’t the easiest thing to remove from clothing, but certainly someone could have run up to Obama’s bedroom and gotten him another shirt?
