CNN host Piers Morgan can dish it out, but he can’t take it.
Morgan won’t be inviting conservative talk show host Dana Loesch to his show anymore after a Twitter back-and-forth got ugly, Politico reports.
The latest spat between the two started with Loesch asking, “Was the guy with the machete a member of the NRA? Asking for a friend,” the report said.
“You think the beheading of a soldier is something to be glib about???” Morgan responded.
It went downhill from there, ending with the gallant Briton tweeting followers: “Can’t stomach @DLoesch goading Brits with her outrageous tweeting re beheaded soldier story. Unfollowed, and banned from my show.”
How manly.
But to answer his question, no, it’s nothing to be glib about.
Just as the murders of 26 people at a Connecticut elementary school by a lunatic is nothing to be crass about, or a crazed gunman shooting up a Colorado theater is nothing to be opportunistic about.
But crassness, opportunism and cynicism are the hallmarks of the anti-gun crowd.
They – Morgan and the rest – should know they have to learn how to take it, too.
