Matt Kemp’s touching gesture to dying boy goes viral

If you haven’t seen this, you should watch it. News is generally ugly. The horror that human beings are capable of inflicting on one another transfixes us, and it can lead us to despair. That’s why it’s important to watch the Matt Kemp video.

Kemp is a baseball player for the Los Angeles Dodgers who gave away practically everything he was wearing to a 19-year-old fan dying of cancer, a young man who has about 90 days to live.

There isn’t much else to say, but if you want more information, go to the Los Angeles Times and read, Fan can’t believe Matt Kemp’s gesture by Bill Plaschke.
