In a display that gives the cynical hope for this country, reports out of Boston suggest that terrorist bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev has gone from most wanted to least wanted.

Tsarnaev’s body had been languishing in a city morgue since he was killed on April 19 in a shootout with authorities, but is now being prepared for burial somewhere in or around Boston, according to Fox News.

His family in Russia doesn’t want his body, his widow declined to claim it and now cemeteries in Massachusetts have refused to take the body, Fox News adds.

It was finally claimed by his uncle on Thursday night after his wife finally agreed to turn over rights to his side of the family.

The remains were first taken to Dyer-Lake Funeral Home in North Attleboro late Thursday, where a small protest broke upon arrival. The body was then sent to Graham Putnam and Mahoney Funeral Parlors in Worcester, WBUR Boston reported.

“They can protest, but what do you do? In this country, we bury the dead,” owner Peter Stefan told Fox News.

He has agreed to handle the funeral arrangements, adding that arrangements have yet to be worked out, and finding a final resting plot for the body – which Islamic law says must not be cremated – could prove difficult.

Gravesites of infamous criminals have long attracted visitors and even vandals, Fox News explains, but terrorist tombs could present a new level of problems for cemeteries.
