O’Reilly: If you waterboarded Obama, he wouldn’t say ‘Muslim jihad’

Host Bill O’Reilly’s Wednesday “Talking Points Memo” on the Factor was centered on the media’s and liberals’ insistence that the Boston Marathon bombers were “lone wolves” or if they had help.

O’Reilly concluded they had to have had help.  When he brought his guests on, liberal columnist Kirsten Powers and Republican strategist Kate Obenshain, they both generally agreed. Powers said that liberals tend to avoid terms like “Islamic terrorist” out of fear of being labeled a racist.

“It’s not anti-Muslim to criticize Islamic jihadists. In fact, if you think it is, you probably don’t understand what Muslims are.”

O’Reilly picked up on the political correctness of the phrase.

“Obama refuses to even say that the terror was generated by Muslim Jihad,” O’Reilly said. “He wouldn’t say it, he absolutely wouldn’t say it. If you waterboarded him, he wouldn’t say it.”

Obenshain opined that liberals may even find what the terrorists do as “appealing.”

“They hate everything we believe in,” she said. “Freedom, individualism, free markets, the right to be whoever you want to be. There is something about that — I know this is going to raise some alarm bells, but there is something about that that liberals find appealing, this hostility towards freedom.”
