Two men and a woman possibly linked to bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were taken into custody on Friday for questioning, then released.

Sketchy reports suggest that authorities returned on Saturday and arrested the men.

Police first encountered the three during a search of off-campus housing near the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Tsarnaev was a student at the school and may have lived at the complex, Fox News reported.

On Saturday, according to Fox News, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Homeland Security agents had arrested two foreign nationals on immigration violations.

Fox News did not identify the two men arrested as being the same men taken into custody on Friday, although a newspaper in the United Kingdom, the Daily Mail, did:

The two men… who are said to be friends with the younger Boston bombing suspect were taken into custody again on Saturday.

This time the two foreign nationals were arrested over alleged immigration violations in the Massachusetts town, New Bedford, where police say the surviving suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, may have once lived.

An ICE spokesman would not comment on the people arrested or say whether they are connected to Tsarnaev or suspected in any other crimes, Fox News reported.

The Daily Mail added that the two men, “thought to be from Kazakhstan,” drive a black BMW 330XI with a vanity plate that reads: “Terrorista #1.”

Tsarnaev had previously tweeted pictures of the car on his Twitter account J_tsar, the report added.
