US to send troops to Jordanian-Syrian border says Hagel

On Wednesday, U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced to the Senate Armed Services Committee that he would be deploying 200 U.S. troops along the Jordanian-Syrian border to replace a similar number already there.

During President Obama’s Mideast trip in March, he promised Jordan’s “King Abdullah II agreed to stand united against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who is fighting foreign-sponsored militants,” according to presstv.com

Obama promised support the Syrian rebel forces, saying that the US “will provide resources, training and capacity for the Syrian opposition.”

The Obama administration pledged support to Egypt during the Arab Spring uprising. In return the Egyptians stormed out embassy in Cairo and ripped down and burned our flag.

The Obama administration supported the rebel uprising against Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi. The rebels paid us back by murdering four Americans on the 11th anniversary of 9/11, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Now we’re maintaining a force of 200 American troops in apparent support of rebel Syrian forces, which are, if anything, crazier than than government already in place, which is no mean feat.

Of nothing else, the president has learned the definition of the word “pawn” during his tenure — American soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines.
