Dennis Rodman returning to N. Korea: I miss my new BFF

While attending a charity gala at the Fontainebleu Hotel in Miami Beach, “pierced and pugnacious” former NBA star Dennis Rodman said he will be returning to North Korea over the summer.

Wearing a white fedora on his head and a drag queen on his arm, as reported by Atlantic Wire, Rodman told a reporter from the Miami Herald Saturday that he was “going back August 1.”

“We have no plans really, as far as what we’re going to do over there, but we’ll just hang and have some fun!”

Rodman ushered in the term “basketball diplomacy” after his first trip to North Korea in February when he noted that both President Obama and his new best friend Kim Jong-Un love basketball and that could be a starting point for talks between the two countries.

Rodman said then of the man who is now threatening nuclear war: “He’s a great guy. He’s just a great guy.”

It’s a safe bet Rodman has come to realize that his last trip to “hang” with Kim Jong-Un generated more publicity than he’s seen since his playing days and like any respectable narcissist, he wants more.

And proving that he is indeed an idiot, Rodman said of the current crisis:

“I’m not a total idiot. I know what Kim Jong-un is threatening to do regarding his military muscle. I hope it doesn’t happen because America will take whatever actions to protect America and our allies. I do think, umm, you know, that we have to talk to people who want to cause us harm so hopefully they won’t.”
